AP Summer Institutes
Texas A&M University offers Advanced Placement® (AP) teachers several one-week Institutes led by experienced AP consultants and Texas A&M faculty. To register, click one of the links below.
During the APSI, you’ll explore the course framework, the exam, and resources that will help you plan and focus instruction—and give you feedback throughout the year on the areas where individual students need additional focus. You’ll also learn about completing the digital activation process at the start of the school year that will give you immediate access to the new resources and will help ensure that your students can register for AP Exams by the new fall deadlines. By attending this APSI, you’ll gain deeper insight into the following key takeaways, among several others: Understand the Course; Plan the Course; Teach the Course; Assess Student Progress; and Engage as a Member of the AP Community. In addition, specific attention will be paid to the following AP Classroom resources: unit guides, personal progress checks, AP teacher community, and the AP question bank.
The sessions have earned enthusiastic reviews. Teachers say they return to their schools motivated and prepared to challenge their students in new ways.

Cost - Registration opens in Spring 2024
AP Summer Institute Registration is $595. Price includes daily parking, lunch each day of the institute and snacks.

Your space is reserved upon receipt of your completed registration AND payment. We accept all major credit cards and checks. Checks can be made out to Texas A&M University and can be mailed to:

Waitlists
A Waitlist will be started once the class is full. Any seat that becomes available will be filled by the next person that has registered with complete payment processed (copy of a school district purchase order is acceptable.) Refunds of payments made by individuals on the waitlist will be processed once the session has started or upon written request to be removed from the Waitlist via the original payment method.
Registration Refunds/Cancellations
Refund/cancellation requests must be received via email to apsi@tamu.edu no later than 5:00 PM on the corresponding dates below:

Requests received by the deadlines will be honored less than a $150 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after the corresponding deadlines. Once a participant has started attending an APSI, no refunds will be given.
Course Cancellations
Events such as low enrollment, inclement weather, etc. may require schedule adjustments or cancellation. We will keep participants informed of any changes via email correspondence. Please ensure that registration information includes the email address that you will be using during the summer (preferably a non-Yahoo email account.)
Certificates
Course completion certificates will be issued only to participants who have attended the entire 30 hours and have paid in full.
